Acupressure Point Massage

𝐀𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 is an ancient Chinese healing method that involves applying pressure to a certain Meridian point in the body to relieve pain. The human body has 14 meridians that carry energy throughout the body. These meridians start at the fingertips, connect to the brain, and then connect to the organ associated with the specific Meridian.

Acupuncture and Acupressure use the same pressure points, but acupuncture uses needles, while Acupressure uses the gentle but firm pressure of hands, elbows, and suitable therapeutic tools. There is a large amount of scientific data that demonstrates why and how acupuncture is effective. It is a non-invasive form of therapy.

𝐀𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 by using the power and sensitivity at the human hand. Acupressure deals with all aspects of a person as a whole: body, emotions, mind, and spirit as well, not as separate parts. It relaxes muscular tension and balances the vital life forces within the body.

Acupressure Point Therapy

Acupressure Point Therapy offers a series of pressure point release movements depending on the issue you have. Point Therapy does not include the massage aspect of the treatment. We utilize point therapy, heat, and movement to release tension, energy flow, and energy blockages that can cause pain and discomfort.

Acupressure is based on the five elements theory: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, As the basic elements of the material world these elements are in constant movement and change. Moreover, the complex connections between material objects are explained through the relationship of interdependence and mutual restraint that governs the five elements in traditional Chinese medicine, the five elements theory is used to interpret the relationship between the Physiology and pathology of the human body and the natural environment.

The five elements theory is a universal framework that organizes all natural phenomena into five groups that represent patterns and relationships in nature. They can also be described as the fundamental materials that comprise the universe. Each element has certain characteristics and qualities, which are used to classify all phenomena( macrosystems to microsystems). according to this theory, fire, earth, metal, water, and wood are expressed within the human body in five organ systems: heart/small intestine, spleen/stomach, lung/large intestine, kidney/urinary bladder, and the liver/gallbladder, respectively.

Within traditional Chinese medicine, these relationships between the elements provide the framework for understanding the connections and interactions between the internal organs, and thereby understanding, diagnosing, and treating all health issues. It is when the relationships between the organs fall out of balance health issues to arise. Acupressure practitioners seek to identify the imbalanced element/organ enter restore balance with their treatment plan.
